General News 

Hello! - Please allow us to extend a warm welcome to you this morning, as we gather together to worship. If this is your first time with us, please do fill out a visitor’s card.

Staff News - Rev. Xavier Law and Adm. Secretary Mimi Chu have gone to Ghana, Africa for a short-term missions trip from Apr. 24 to May 10.  Update will be posted daily on church website. Pastor Lawrence will also be out of the office from May 1-2 . Rev. Chang will be out of the office on May 6-9 . Rev. Kim will be taking study leave on May 8 . Pastors Sherman  will be attending an open house at Vancouver Christian School on May 8. 

Children & Junior Worship - New Room Arrangement - As of May 4, parents are reminded that children’s worship will take place in classroom B1 (next to the photocopy room) and the junior worship in classroom B3 (across the hall from the men’s bathroom). 

Mid-Year General Sharing Meeting - June 1, 2008, 2:00- 4:00pm. Lunch will be provided. Sign up sheets for lunch will be available on May 18. 

Prayer & Praise News

Doing Ministry on our knees  We have prayer meetings on Tues nights (7:30pm) at the church office.  A few prayer reminders:

1. Continue to pray for the Lily and Henry Hon as they support and care for their mom and Mr. Hon as well. Mrs.  Hon’s cancer has spread to the liver and she  is undergoing chemotherapy treatment.

2. Pray for Joseph and Susan Kwan as well as their children Sherwin and Cheyenne, who was in intensive care for medical treatments this past week.

Gospel & Ministry News

Low-Income Families Ministry - Thank you for your ongoing support of this ministry. Please remember to drop off your donations as our next visit will be on May 30. Let’s continue to be a blessing to the families in the Grandview-Woodland neighborhood.

Missions & Evangelism News 

EDMONTON CHALLENGE! The World is our City - We are now encouraging applications for the Operation Mobilization Edmonton Challenge August 9-16, 2008  (Cost: $215/person plus travel) . Applications must be submitted by July 4. If you are interested in going, please talk to Pastor Sherman/Lawrence ASAP!

Ghana Short-Term Missions Team Update - The team has been in Kpandai for over a week now. In that time, they arrived safely to better than reported accommodations and conditions. Everyone is still in good health and spirits. They have settled into a routine of VBS in the morning, rest and visitations in the afternoon and discipleship in the evenings. Please continue to follow them on their journey by visiting www.pgmbc.com which is updated daily with a report from the team.
